In patients whose asthma is strongly controlled, the daily dose may be decreased below 400 micrograms but should not go below 200 micrograms.

Children (2 – 12 years)

200–800 mcg daily, in divided doses.
The dose should be decreased to the minimum required to maintain good asthma control.
Patients should be told to take the once-daily dose in the evening. It is important that the dose is taken consistently and at a similar time every Day.

How Budecort Inhaler works

Budecort Inhaler is a steroid. It prevents the cells in the lungs and breathing passages from releasing chemical messengers that cause inflammation (swelling) of the airways. This widens the airways and makes breathing easier.
